Latta Schools will operate on a two hour delay on Friday, January 24. Buses will pick up two hours later than normal time and schools will take in two hours later than normal schedule. Breakfast and lunch will be served. Please remind your child to bring in their eLearning work from Wednesday.

Due to freezing temperatures and expected dangerous road conditions, Latta Schools will be closed tomorrow (1/23). The state allows 5 eLearning days. We used our 5th day today. Therefore, tomorrow will be a closure. We will make up this day on Friday, February 7 which is a scheduled teacher workday. All teachers and students should report on February 7.

We're thrilled to announce the new app for Latta Schools!

This is a REMINDER that students are responsible to turn in ALL equipment at the end of the year that they were given at the beginning of the year. If you received a G11 or N42 Chromebook, you will owe us the Chromebook and charger. If you received a 14E Chromebook, you will owe us the Chromebook, charger, and zippered case. If you do not return them, you will be charged. So if anyone tells you that you do not have to turn in that equipment, they are wrong. Keep up with these items for return at the end of the year.

The End of Course Examination Program is one of the testing programs required by the South Carolina State Department of Education. Students enrolled in an EOC course will take the test online using a Chromebook, and they must report to the school for testing. They do not need to bring their school-issued Chromebook on the day of testing. The school will supply the testing Chromebook.
The State Department of Education has asked us to share the following information concerning End-of-Course Examinations so please take note of the following:
Make sure that students are in school on the day of the test.
Make sure that students arrive at school by 8:20 AM on the day of the test.
Tardy students will not be allowed to enter the testing session once it has started.
Students must complete the pre-EOC testing Google form assigned by their subject teacher by May 15. NOTE: They must use the Google Chrome browser to view the tutorials and videos.
All cell phones or any other electronic devices will be collected the morning of the test. Students are not allowed to have these devices during testing.
You can find more information on EOC assessments by visiting https://ed.sc.gov/tests/high/eocep/.
You may also visit the Student and Parent Resources Webpage for sample student reports, the EOCEP Score Report User's Guide, and assessment brochures in multiple languages and in alternate formats for individuals with disabilities.
If you have any questions, please call Mrs. Berry at 843-752-5751.

Donations are delivered to Western NC from Latta School District Winter Weather Supply Drive.
