The LMS Library Program is excited to host its first annual Book Character Pumpkin Decorating Contest! Here are the quick facts:

• Pumpkins must be decorated to reflect a book character.

• Pumpkins must be DECORATED, NOT carved.

• Students may earn extra credit in ELA for participating and cash rewards for winning!

• Submission Dates: October 8-22

  • Pumpkin must be turned into the LMS main office

  • Pumpkin submission must include the Pumpkin Book Report (given to student by ELA teacher)

  • No student is allowed to carry pumpkins on the school bus.

• Winner announced: October 29

• Pumpkin Pickup: October 29 & 30

  • Pumpkins may be picked up from the library.

  • Again, no student is allowed to carry pumpkins on the school bus.

  • Any pumpkin not picked up on Oct. 30 by 4:30PM will be discarded.

There is a FCA meeting every Thursday for 6th-8th grade students at 7:40 in the LHS Gym.

The Latta Middle School yearbook is on sale now. Icons are now $5.00 each. Order a standard yearbook for $40.00 or a personalized yearbook starting at $49.00. Order at school or at jostensyearbooks.com. For in-school orders, submit payment and order form to your homeroom teacher. Checks must be made out to Latta Middle School.

Reminder: Students who attend the middle school must be accompanied by an adult when attending any athletic events/games.

The Latta Middle School Lost and Found is located across from the cafeteria entrance. There are many coats and jackets on the Lost and Found rack. If you lose an item, please check the Lost and Found and claim anything that belongs to you.
