8th graders who are interested in being an FCA leader this year may find the application form in the 8th grade Google Classroom. Applications are due on Wednesday, August 20th. 

Once meetings begin, FCA meeting every Thursday for 6th-8th grade students at 7:40 in the LHS Gym.

Student Council applications are due on Monday, August 18th.

Any 7th or 8th grade student interested in auditioning for Viking Theater Workshop’s Fall production of Santa’s Spectacles can pick up materials from Mrs. Marsh (7th graders) or Mrs. Johnson (8th graders).  Auditions will be Thursday, August 21 and Friday, August 22 in the EPAC after school from 3:45-5:00.  You only have to attend one day of auditions. 

The Latta Schools Robotics Club will have its first meeting on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 in the LMS robotics lab (rooms 103 and 104) immediately after school. Any student in grades 7 through 12 may attend. If you would like to design, building, and program competition robots, this club is for you.

The cross-country Viking Glow Voyage 5K will be held this Saturday, August 23rd at 7:30. Registration begins at 6:30 at the football stadium.

Reminder: Students who attend the middle school must be accompanied by an adult when attending any athletic events/games.

The Latta Middle School Lost and Found is located across from the cafeteria entrance. There are many coats and jackets on the Lost and Found rack. If you lose an item, please check the Lost and Found and claim anything that belongs to you.
